Delivery Lead

Delivery Lead

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Type: Full-Time

Reports To: CEO

About the Role

Subatomic is looking for a Delivery Lead to own the end-to-end delivery of AI Co-Worker implementations for enterprise clients. This is a hybrid role that blends project management, client relationship ownership, and hands-on solution delivery. You will be the primary point of contact for clients from kickoff through go-live, responsible for ensuring that every engagement delivers measurable outcomes on time and on budget.

This is not a traditional project management role. You will work directly with our AI platform, configure workflows, troubleshoot integrations, and serve as the bridge between what the client needs and what our technology can do. You will manage timelines, coordinate across internal teams, and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks — but you will also roll up your sleeves and do the work.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead the full delivery lifecycle for AI Co-Worker implementations — from scoping and onboarding through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-launch optimization
  • Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations, communicating progress, and building long-term relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Define and manage project plans, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent engagements
  • Configure and deploy AI Co-Workers on the Subatomic platform, working with client data sources, business rules, and system integrations
  • Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early and drive resolution without waiting to be told
  • Coordinate with engineering, product, and sales teams to ensure alignment between what was sold and what gets delivered
  • Document implementation patterns, build repeatable playbooks, and contribute to the scalability of our delivery practice
  • Own client satisfaction metrics and ensure every engagement ends with a referenceable customer
  • Conduct regular check-ins, status updates, and executive-level reviews with clients
  • Manage change requests and scope adjustments with clear communication and documentation
  • Support pre-sales efforts by contributing to scoping, estimating, and proposal development when needed
  • Continuously improve our delivery methodology based on lessons learned from each engagement

Contributing to Company Operations

As an early-stage company, everyone at Subatomic contributes beyond their core role. In addition to client delivery, you will:

  • Help build and refine the delivery function from the ground up — processes, templates, tools, and standards
  • Participate in internal strategy discussions and contribute to product roadmap conversations based on client feedback
  • Support hiring and onboarding of future delivery team members as the practice grows
  • Contribute to marketing and thought leadership efforts by sharing client success stories and implementation insights
  • Help develop training materials and documentation for both internal teams and clients
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives, planning sessions, and culture-building activities
  • Represent Subatomic at industry events, conferences, and client-facing meetings
  • Provide feedback to engineering and product teams to improve the platform based on real-world delivery experience

How We Expect You to Work

Ownership over task completion. We don’t micromanage. When you’re given a responsibility, we expect you to see it through completely — anticipating what’s needed, asking the right questions, and delivering without being chased. If something is blocked, you flag it and propose a path forward. If something is unclear, you clarify it before it becomes a problem.

Bias toward action. We move fast and expect you to make decisions with imperfect information when needed. Waiting for permission or perfect clarity is not how we operate. Make the best call you can, communicate what you did and why, and adjust as needed.

Radical transparency. We expect honest, direct communication — internally and with clients. If a project is behind, say so early. If a client’s expectations are unrealistic, address it head-on. If you made a mistake, own it and fix it. We don’t penalize honesty; we penalize surprises.

Client obsession without subservience. We are deeply committed to client outcomes, but we are not order-takers. You are expected to push back when a client’s request doesn’t serve their best interest, to educate and guide rather than simply execute, and to be a trusted advisor — not just a vendor.

Continuous improvement. Every engagement should be better than the last. We expect you to actively identify what worked, what didn’t, and what we should change — and to drive those changes rather than just noting them.

Working With AI

At Subatomic, AI is not just our product — it is how we work. Every team member is expected to actively use AI tools in their daily work to increase speed, quality, and throughput. This means using AI for drafting documents, analyzing data, planning projects, troubleshooting issues, and accelerating every aspect of your role. We are building the future of AI-augmented work, and we expect every team member to live that future every day.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in client-facing delivery, implementation, consulting, or professional services roles in enterprise software or technology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects from start to finish
  • Strong technical aptitude — you don’t need to be an engineer, but you need to be comfortable working with APIs, data flows, system integrations, and technical documentation
  • Experience working with enterprise clients in regulated industries (financial services, manufacturing, healthcare) is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa
  • Proven track record of building strong client relationships and earning trust at the executive level
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies, automation platforms, or data integration tools is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools (Jira, Asana, Monday, etc.)
  • Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company where you wore multiple hats and thrived in ambiguity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and drive resolution
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, workshops, and industry events
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and a desire to stay on the cutting edge of how AI is transforming enterprise operations
  • High integrity, low ego, and a collaborative mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, etc.) are a plus
  • Active, demonstrated use of AI tools in your professional workflow

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will have taken ownership of at least one active client engagement, built a working understanding of our platform and delivery methodology, and established yourself as a reliable, proactive leader that clients and internal teams trust. Within six months, you will be managing multiple concurrent engagements, contributing to delivery process improvements, and playing a key role in shaping how Subatomic scales its client delivery function.

Where This Role Can Grow

This role is designed to grow with the company. As Subatomic scales, the Delivery Lead role can evolve into a Director of Delivery, VP of Client Success, or other senior leadership position. We are building the delivery practice from scratch, and the person in this role will have significant influence over how it is designed, staffed, and run. If you want to build something — not just execute within an existing framework — this is the role for you.
